Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, today, alongside notable dignitaries in Nigeria, launched the Avon Ultramodern medical facility, increasing its capacity to 50 beds across its network.
The facility is in Surulere, Lagos, and is a bold step toward delivering patient-centered healthcare to Nigerians. It will support the transformative journey of the Nigerian health sector.
With the launch of the Ultramodern facility, Avon Medical has evolved from a single worksite clinic into a network of hospitals, including a dialysis centre, and multiple clinics serving Nigerians.
Founded by Dr. Awele Elumelu, OFR, in 2009, this is part of the bold initiatives designed to make world-class healthcare accessible to all.
The facility will improve access to maternal healthcare, meaning more children will get timely, life-saving treatments. It will also ensure that families will have access to care they can trust and afford.
In his remarks, Governor Sanwo-Olu said, “This facility represents a collective commitment to ensuring that quality health services are accessible to all. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this will have in the community.”
Avon Medical is a subsidiary of Heirs Holdings Plc and is a key private sector player in the Nigerian healthcare sector.
