The Fintech Association of Nigeria recently hosted its maiden Fintech Platinum Awards, to celebrate Great icons and brands, who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Nigerian and African fintech ecosystem. 

Notable dignitaries, brands and regulatory agencies that received awards at the event include; Dr Segun Aina, OFR, President African Fintech Network, Chams Plc, Securities and Exchange Commission, Mr. Mitchell Elegbe, GCEO Interswitch, Ms. Odunayo Eweniyi, Co-Founder-Piggyvest, Carbon Microfinance Bank, Banwo & Ighodalo , Mr. Iyin Aboyeji, General Partner, Future Africa, and Mrs. Jennifer Onyebeagu-Jejelaye, COO & Cofounder, VorianCorelli (AgriTech). 

Also, the Fintech Association gave a special award to the Minister for Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami for his supportive role through policies to the Nigerian fintech industry.
