By the Council’s roadmap, the implementation of the Audit Regulations 2020 is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2023. Though enough sensitization has been carried out on the Audit Regulations 2020 proper, the other related/ancillary publications like Operational Guidelines for Inspection and Monitoring of Auditors, Other Assurance service Providers and Audit Committee Members 2020, audit related Rules (2, 3, 5, 9, 10 & 11), Instrument of Delegation, Transparency Reporting by Auditors and other Assurance Services Providers, and Internal Control over Financial Reporting by Management & Assurance Providers are not yet in the public domain. 

These publications are very vital and are prerequisite to effective implementation of the Audit Regulations 2020. Hence, there is an urgent need to organized seminars to keep auditors and other assurance services providers fully abreast with these vital documents.
