Last week, most grain commodities closed in the green territory, returning gains to investors on the Exchange. Paddy rice led the performer’s chart closing 7.82% on a week-on-week basis. Soybean and Maize gained 2.38% and 2.14% respectively.
A similar movement was also observed in the open market as the same commodities closed higher. This is on the back of increasing demand for these commodities.
Reflecting market movements in export commodity prices, the AEI increased by 0.94% in the last trading week, closing at 200.30 index points.
