The NGX All-Share Index declined by 0.90% to close at 53,603.80 basis points as against 0.47% loss recorded previously to close at 53,124.63 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N261.03bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +4.59%
The total volume traded advanced by 16.38% to close at N236.07m, valued at N3.26bn and traded in 3906 deals. TRANSCORP was the most traded stock by volume with 91.39m units traded while ZENITHBANK was the most traded stock by value which is put at N696.21b.
Sectoral performance was broadly negative as thirteen (13) NGX sector index closed northward, one (1) sector index closed southward and four (4) closed flat. NGX-IND index advanced by 2.69% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGX-Insurance Index declined by 0.76% to top the losers’ chart.
