The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.29% to close at 55,670.24 basis points as against a 0.53% loss recorded previously to close at 55,508.61 basis points at the end of the last trading session. In Naira terms, the NGX Market CAP records a N88.05bn gain.
YTD, the NGXASI Stands at +8.62%
The total volume traded declined by 63.57% to close at N206.11m, valued at N3.26bn and traded in 4,385 deals. TRANSCORP was the most traded stock by volume with 29.75m units traded while AIRTELAFRI was the most traded stock by value which is put at N959.11m
Sectoral performance was broadly negative as five (5) NGX sector index closed northward, ten (10) sector index closed southward and three (3) closed flat. The NGX MAIN BOARD index advanced by 0.63% to top the gainer’s chart while the NGXAFRBVI Index declined by 1.33% to top the losers’ chart.
The Gote index advanced by 0.20% to close at 145.52 basis points while the Toni index declined by 1.62% to close at 127.84 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 17 gainers to 25 losers and 68 unchanged. SUNUASSUR topped the list of gainers while SOVRENINS topped the list of losers.
Thus, market breadth closed negative as the Market Breadth Index (MBI) is put at -0.12x.
