After a wonderful debut and an unexpected turnout at Ibadan for our SMEBootcamp series, November 13, 2021 marks the opening of the fourth edition ofthe Lagos SME Bootcamp.

This will be held at the Ballroom, Lagos Oriental Hotel, VictoriaIsland, Lagos. With this launch, the SME Bootcamp initiative now spans across 2geographic locations in Nigeria, boasts of hosting 37 mentors, 4 LagosBootcamps, an intensive training workshop, 1 Ibadan Bootcamp and an active communityof over 4,500 members.

Micro-, small- and medium-sized businesses play a critical role in theeconomy, the need for their survival is crucial to Nigeria's economy as theycontribute to 48% of the country's GDP. The Lagos SME Bootcamp initiative hasrisen to the challenge, by hosting a series of all-round business managementcapability sessions geared towards equipping small business owners with the necessaryskills they need to scale their businesses to support the achievement ofSustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8.

The Bootcamp is a one-day hybrid event of learning pertinent skillsneeded to run a business such as Financial Management, Business Planning, Tax,Sales and Marketing, Branding; How to pitch their business, and an environmentwhere MSMEs can gain insights on the latest industry trends, technologies, andmethodologies from business experts in Nigeria.
