Paddy rice recorded a gain of 8.10% in the open market, maintaining a 2nd week consecutive gain. The festive season has stimulated high demand for the commodity amid its low supply.

On the Exchange likewise, paddy rice stood as the top gainer across grains, appreciating 6.20% w-o-w.  

The benchmark indexes, ACI and AEI appreciated by 0.09% and 3.99% respectively in the last trading week, mirroring general price movements of commodities in the trading week.

Paddy rice price is expected to continue trends witnessed in the last 2 weeks due to strong demand on the back of the festive season.
