Following the successful release of the last seven (7) editions of the #OnlineTrading Ranking Report, Proshare.co has now commenced the process of producing the 8th Edition of the Report which includes a customer and operators’ survey, along with key informant interviews, data-backed analysis and insights from our Impact research unit.

This year's survey is designed as an annual follow-up review of online trading portals in the Nigerian Financial Market and an insight into trends in other aspects of the online trading space; which we hope will empower Capital Market Operators (CMOs), Fintech Platforms, Investors and other members of the investing community to provide feedback, observations and recommendations to financial market operators and regulators through our methodology, especially this online questionnaire.

From a learning and development point, it is very important for us to understand customers/users experience with the various brokerage and trading service firms they transact with, as these experiences and expectations contribute immensely to the success of the process and development of a user-provider experience. 

Thus, we encourage users to take advantage of this survey to rank and communicate their expectations from market operators.

Specifically, the 2022 report is expected to achieve the following:

1. Serve as a knowledge base to understand how the case for a unified platform has helped in achieving the aim of the African Exchange Linkages Programme (AELP)

2. Share insights regarding the rise of fintech and its impact on online trading platforms

3. Provide insight on the commencement of AfCFTA and its impact on online trading, if any.

4. Align expectations with experience by assessing what is currently done by CMOs via the Online trading platforms and benefits to users.

5. Serve as an opportunity to identify gaps and provide recommendations for improvement to CMOs.

6. Provide a basis for operators to improve/upgrade their trading platforms.

Findings from the survey will be published in the Nigerian Online Trading Ranking Report 2022 which will be released in Q4 2022.
